By Katherine Schaefer John W. Douglass, one of Washingtons top lobbyists, is going to do something he has never done in the past: publicly support a presidential candidate. It will be new territory for Douglass, whose nine-year tenure as the head of the influential Aerospace Industries Association is drawing to a close. Douglass officially steps down from the AIA on Dec. 31, 2007, with former Federal Aviation Administration Administrator Marion Blakey succeeding him at the $9 million industry group.
